Lemon Meringue Explosion

The other weekend we were at my Grandparents house, and we were just finishing up our desert when Andrew stuffed some Lemon Meringue Pie in my face, I played it off pretty cool and didn’t really react until….. He was standing up at the counter and he wasn’t expecting anything that is when I through some meringue at him and it hit him square in the head!! Good thing he was wearing a toque to lighten the impact!!! Nothing like a good food fight on a Sunday afternoon!!

Later that day my gran and I were having a discussion about how well behaved I always act, when she decided to give me a good ol’ casual face push!! Never thought I would see the day my grandma was handing out face pushes!!

These are the stories of our lives.......

OUR STORY
Andrew and I will be dating for 7 years on December 14. I moved to my grandparents homestead in Ferintosh in 2004, where I was enrolled in Bashaw School this is where I first met Andrew. We went to school for 2 years together before Andrew decided to ask me out.  He asked me out just before my 16th birthday party, we were in social class and we both left the classroom to go the bathroom, while we were in the hall he stopped me and said “sooo do you want to go out or something?”,
I replied with a “ya sure!” We went on a couple awkward dates, and then finally it started to take off!! After 3 years I decided to pick up and move to Vancouver to go to school for film and television, it was one of the hardest decisions I ever have to make, to pick up and move by myself to somewhere I have never even been before, but I got up the courage, packed my bags and started on a new journey!! Most people break up when someone moves away, but we stuck it out we lived 1200 km away, we took turns flying back and forth to see each other for eight months. After those veerrry long eight months, Andrew decided that he is going to pack his bags and drive all the way to Vancouver with Mr. Lizard as his co-pilot!!
We lived there for 3 years, after that we decided we had our fun in Vancouver, and it was time to move on and come back to Alberta so we could be closer to our families again!! We packed up our lives in Vancouver, rented a U-Haul, and a trailer so we could take Andrew’s jeep home with us!! This was in the middle of winter, we had a 25 foot U-Haul, and a 10 foot trailer behind us with Andrew’s jeep on it, it made for a very nerve racking trip. Once we pulled up to Calgary they had closed the roads down we had just driven on!!  We were very lucky to make it back to Calgary in one piece!!
We have been living in Calgary for 2 years now, it is not our favorite place but that’s okay, it is only a temporary thing until we are finished school then we will be heading back to farming country!!
The Proposal
It was November 19th, Andrew had the day off work; during the day he went and picked up my ring from Spence diamonds, went and got it insured, then went back home to await my arrival! I got home from work at 4:41pm, after we were finished eating supper; he asked me if I would like to go find some Christmas lights to look at!! I agreed, we hopped in his jeep and he took me up to Scotsman’s Hill, he parked his jeep took me outside to get a better look at the view! That is when he got down on one knee and asked me if I would marry him, and of course I said YES!!! 7 years later we are now engaged to be married!! We hope to get married on August 9,2014, however nothing is set in stone yet!!!
P.S.
One thing that is kind of ironic about our relationship is that my grandparents live on Sproule Street in Bashaw, where they have been living for a very, very long time!! It just so happens I am going to be marrying a Sproule!!
